Great little machine, on balance.
Good points:
* starts up quickly
* works wirelessly all around the house
* battery life up to 4.5 hours
Not so good points:
* screen is less bright on battery than it is on mains power - you'll struggle to see any detail in regular daylight (may be adjustable, but this appears to be the factory setting)
* sound (for iTunes etc) is truly rubbish - i know its a small netbook but i expected better from Samsung
* still waiting for my cashback from Samsung - a month on from purchase
* Windows software is only a year's subscription - then you have to buy it (not clear when netbook was purchased)

As the title says there were too many extras installed. But, by the time I had stripped them all out and installed equivelant freebees and a genuine copy of microsoft office it has turned into a cracking little netbook!!

This Netbook arrived promptly and well packed. Out of the box it looked good but a little too plasticky. It came with no real handbook and it took much time to find the code for the 12 months trial of Microsoft Office. Everything else was as expected of the Windows XP system although a little disappointed that it did not have Windows 7 as the Samsung website said that it was equipped with the latter. Battery life around 5 hours the first time of use. Still waiting for the cashback from Samsung, I registered it on line but received no acknowledgement.
